Yes we can preserve spray painted flowers in resin.

However, there is a small risk involved. Depending on the type and quality of spray paint originally used , it may react with the resin during the curing process. In some cases, this can cause what’s known as colour bleed, where the paint separates or pulls away slightly from the petals.

This doesn’t happen every time, and many spray painted blooms preserve beautifully. We take preventative measures to minimise the risk as much as possible, but because we didn’t apply the original spray, we can’t guarantee how it will behave once cast.

Wherever you are in Australia, we can preserve your flowers for you. In fact, most of our wedding bouquets for preservation arrive in the post. You can pop your flowers in the post, we’ll preserve them and create your resin piece, then post it home to you.

The minimum order is $150.

Good things take time. The flower drying and preserving process alone can take up to 21 days. We then cast and pour the resin in stages, allowing it to fully cure before they’re ready for pick up or postage

Turnaround time for resin is currently between 6-8 months, but we promise It’s always worth the wait.

Keep your flowers in water following your wedding and store them in a cool area. If you have room in your fridge this is ideal, just try to keep them away from fresh fruit and veggies. For every day they’re still in your care, cut about a centimetre off the end of the stems and replace the water daily. 

If you’re delivering your flowers to us, keep them in water and upright. A bucket is helpful during the drive!

There are a few steps to take to help your flowers reach us in the best possible condition. 

• Following your wedding keep your flowers in fresh water in a cool dark room. Change the water each day before posting. Post your flowers out to us as soon as possible.
• When posting wrap the flower stems in wet paper towel, then secure the paper towel with cling-wrap or foil.
• Put the stems in a plastic pot, jar or vase, something they can stand in to keep them upright. 
• Place the flowers and vase in a large shipping box standing upright. Fill around the vase using something light like bubble wrap to keep them secure and upright. Take care not to damage the flowers. Please do not cover the top of your flowers with bubble wrap as they will suffocate.
• Please include either your order number or name on the original booking inside the box or on the postage label.
• Label the box with your name, marking it as fragile and send via Express Post. Please ensure you have used express post tape on the box

It will depend on what pieces you are ordering and the size of your bouquet but an average size bouquet would create one of the bigger resin pieces and some little add ons.

Ideally, we like to know what you’re after before we start preserving or pressing your flowers, as each line uses different techniques. Our 3D boxes, in particular, often use more flowers than you might think to create depth. 

However, please don’t hesitate to contact us, and we can see what we can do.

That’s up to you! If you have flowers left over, we’ll reach out to you to see if you’d like anything further created with the leftovers before we dispose of them.

We can preserve, press and frame any fresh flowers. This includes memorial flowers, birthday bunches or just a beautiful bunch you’ve picked from your garden.

If you have flowers that are already dried they can still be preserved. If they’ve been professionally dried and correctly cared for, they will be able to be preserved in resin. If you’ve had them for a long time, or you’ve dried them yourself, we’ll need to check them for mould growth prior to preserving them in resin. 

If you’d like to check whether your flowers are suitable, simply pop some photos in an email.

Yes, we can. If you have a few stems that are looking a little sad, we can purchase a fresh version and preserve them for a small fee per stem. 

We can also entirely recreate your bouquet for you if you’ve left the preservation a little too late.

However, artificial and silk flowers aren’t workable for pressed flower frames - in this case, we’ll work with you to replace any artificial flowers with a fresh stem locally.

The process of drying and preserving flowers can slightly alter the colour, depending on the flower and original colour. This is completely normal. 

We use a high quality gel to preserve your flowers to retain the shape and vibrancy. 

Common changes can include red roses deepening to a burgundy, tropical flowers can brown (colour correcting is available on request for tropical bouquets), white flowers changing to an off-white or cream colour and white delphinium drying blue, this is probably the most drastic change but is completely normal. Colour change can also depend on how fresh they were when they were first picked, so is completely out of our control. For white flowers, we pour using a different technique to minimise colour change as much as possible

Bruising on petals can also show as translucent spots once they’re in resin. This is generally a result of how they were handled when they were picked, and the age of the flowers. This doesn’t take away from the beauty of the flowers, and just demonstrates their delicate nature.

Yes we do. You can add colour correction to your order prior to check out. We recommend colour correcting for pressed flower framing and tropical bouquets. Colour correcting helps to hide any blemishes or imperfections from handling your beautiful flowers and helps with colour longevity.

Yes, we can! We’ll ask you to send a photo of your bouquet and source the same flower varieties locally, before drying and preserving them as a reminder of your special day. This makes a lovely anniversary gift!

We recommend you send your fresh flowers to us within 3 days of your event - the fresher the flowers, the better the results. Some flower varieties like natives can hold on for a little longer, but the sooner you can get them to us the better. 

If your flowers are already wilting (which can happen during the hotter months), we’ll ask you to send us a photo of their current state. We can then give you our recommendation. If we feel your flowers are no longer suitable, we may offer you a bouquet recreation, or we can substitute a fresher version of a flower if particular stems are fading faster than others. There are always ways to get the result you want!

Keep your resin keepsakes out of direct sunlight to maintain their colour and avoid UV damage. 

Otherwise, they’re low maintenance, just needing a quick dust every now and then with a microfibre cloth. Please don’t use any harsh chemicals on your pieces, as this can damage the finish. If you’ve got some stubborn dust or marks, using a microfibre cloth and clean water should be all you need.

We’ll let you know when we’ve safely received your flowers, and aim to send another update when it’s nearing its final stages. Please bear in mind that time is critical when we’re preserving flowers, so sometimes our updates can be delayed. Rest assured we are working behind the scenes to get your beautiful keepsakes made.
