Frequently Asked Questions
The process of preserving and pressing flowers can slightly alter the colour, depending on the flower. This is completely normal.
Common changes can include red roses deepening to a burgundy, tropical flowers can brown (colour correcting is always recommended here), white flowers can change to an off-white or cream colour and white delphinium drying blue. This is probably the most drastic change but is also completely normal.
Yes, you can expect some colour change overtime. Although preserved, flowers will still age naturally inside their frames (at a lot slower rate and less drastic). This can include some fading, darkening, lightening and or browning of petals.
Avoid sunlight exposure, high humidity and extreme heat to slow the natural ageing process.
If you want to limit colour change and ageing of your flowers as much as possible we recommend our colour correcting service.

Colour Correction
The nature of fresh florals means that the preservation process will naturally change their appearance. For some flowers, it’s barely noticeable, while others have a more significant change. This adds to the beauty of your piece. However, if you’d prefer to keep it as life-like as possible, we recommend adding Colour Correction to your piece.
Colour correction helps to hide any blemishes, bruises or imperfections, restores colour and helps with longevity of your piece once it’s on display – like any artwork, UV can cause it to fade gently over the years.
We strongly recommend colour correcting for pressed flower frames and bouquets using tropical flowers.
